Land of Liberty
This week, we honor the birth of our great nation—a land where self-government, individual liberty, and God-given rights have long been cherished. We thank the Lord for the blessing of living in a country founded on the principles of freedom and personal responsibility. As fireworks light the sky, parades march through our streets, and families gather for backyard cookouts, we celebrate the stars and stripes and the enduring values that have made America a beacon of hope around the world.
Though America remains the greatest nation on earth and one we should be proud of, many patriots share growing concerns about the direction we’re headed. Our most fundamental freedoms—religious liberty and free speech—are being chipped away by activist judges and overreaching officials who disregard the U.S. Constitution. Traditional Christian values are openly mocked and marginalized, while far too often the Church stands silent or sidelines itself from the cultural battle. Now more than ever, we must pray, speak the truth in love, and courageously defend the moral foundation that made this country strong.
