HB 3637 Welcomes Abortion Doctors to Illinois
Illinois State Senator Karina Villa (D-West Chicago) is the chief sponsor of a pro-abortion bill (HB 3637) that would amend numerous Illinois health care laws. This bill was sponsored in the Illinois House by State Representative Dagmara Avelar (D-Romeoville), and co-sponsored by 24 other representatives. It passed the House by a vote of 67 to 39 on April 7th.
If enacted, this proposal would prohibit the Illinois Department of Health from taking disciplinary action against a person who has had their medical license, registration, and/or permit revoked in another state as a result of violating the state’s laws against certain medical procedures, such as abortion and sex reassignment surgery. In other words, unethical doctors who have had their medical licenses revoked can come to Illinois to practice medicine here.
